Summer Plans

Well, summer is here and... what I would like to do on this vacations? That's a good question. I think I would like to travel with my friends to Viña del Mar like the last year, I really miss to be on the beach and feel the fresh wind on my face, walk with my boyfriend at the seaside and that kind of things. Also I would like to visit to my grandfather who lives in Mulchen, on the south of Chile, and travel with all my family to the place. His house is immersed on nature, surrounded by a lot of threes being a pretty quiet place, that’s why I love to be in there. I would like to take time to improve in my art, which is illustration, doing a lot of drawing exercises and studying perspective and anatomy. Also doing my own projects, currently I’m working in a series of drawings about under water life. I want to work into merchandise too, a little project that I have related with embroidery. First I make a traditional binding, and then the cover is decorated with an embroidery desi

Tv shows and Series

Hi, today I'm going to talk to you about one of my favorite series . Well, actually is a miniseries named “Chernobyl” and it was released the last year (2019) produced by HBO. The show is starring by Jared Harris, Stellan Skarsgàrd and Emily Watson, and it relates the story of the nuclear center’s  disaster that occurred on 1986. One of the things that I liked the most was that it’s based on true events, so you can imagine the real fear of been in that situation, making “Chernobyl” another kind of show. In just five episodes you will experiment the confusion, chaos, desperation of this catastrophic situation and also feel a lot of respect to people that tried to stop even worse consequences happens. My favourite character is the main character, Valery Legasov interpreted by Jared Harris, who was a scientist in charge of the commission destined to deal with all the situation, under the pressure of Mijaìl Gorbachov in a soviet Russia. Dramatic shows are not

Academic challenges in 2020

I study Licenciature in Art History at Universidad de Chile since 2017, and  I'm in my last year. The curriculum principally includes art history subjects (occidental and latinoamerican art), esthetics ( a branch of philosophy), museum and collection, historography (investigation methods) and semiotic / hermeneutic notions. The career lasts 4 years, but I think it should be extend 1 year more because it's almost impossible to write a thesis in the fourth year with a proffesional internship and four/five subjects between. Most of students have to pay an extra year, even those who had gratuity. They should extend the official curriculum, so students would not lose those important benefits. Also I think the workload it's too much, because we have a lot of subject until the end, and not all of them are necessary. We have seven signatures per semester till fourth year, and then you're supposed to write you thesis with all difficulties mentioned. The actual building supp

The best holidays

The best holidays I've ever lived maybe would sound a little bit simple for most of people, but to me it was a really entertaining experience. I went with 2 friends and my boyfriend to Viña del Mar. One of them have an apartment on the place so...we planned to travel on January of 2019 by 4 days. The apartment had a view to the sea, it was so wonderful, here you have a photo to  see its  beauty. The building also had a pretty cool swimming pool. We meet with my best friend Fran, who also have a propiety but in Valparaìso and was in travel with her friend Geni. Fran is holding a melon with wine in this photo, wich is a very popular summer drink on Chile. That night I read tarot cards to everyone on the mini-party!   We visited Valparaìso and Palacio Baburizza wich is a museum that contains a lot of chilean artworks and took pictures on the famous piano stairs. We walked a lot that day and I was really tired when we get at home. One of the most surprising things h

A country I'd like to visit

Although I don't know too much about this country, I would like to visit Canada. I love its vast forests and natural reserve. Also, this country is well known as a really quite place, where crime and violence episodes rarely happens. I would like to live in there, in a cabin by the nature along by a fireplace, into a really cozy ambience. If I could, I would study some art restoration postgrade and then work as a restorer, attending the art pieces from a Canadian museum. Maybe I would return to Chile, but only when I have enough experience on this occupation. Something that specially excites me it’s to have a merry white christmas, with hot chocolate and ugly christmas sweaters. I will have a lot of cats and I hope my family can visit me every year, and write each other weekly. Also I would try to learn some of French language, although it’s a very difficult matter to me. I really hope to live in there someday! Moraine Lake, into Banff National Park
