Hi, today I'm going to talk to you about one of
my favorite series. Well, actually is a miniseries named “Chernobyl” and
it was released the last year (2019) produced by HBO. The show is starring by
Jared Harris, Stellan Skarsgàrd and Emily Watson, and it relates the story of
the nuclear center’s disaster that occurred on 1986.
One of the things that I liked the most was that
it’s based on true events, so you can imagine the real fear of been in that
situation, making “Chernobyl” another kind of show. In just five episodes you
will experiment the confusion, chaos, desperation of this catastrophic
situation and also feel a lot of respect to people that tried to stop even
worse consequences happens.
My favourite character is the
main character, Valery Legasov interpreted by Jared Harris, who was a scientist
in charge of the commission destined to deal with all the situation, under the
pressure of Mijaìl Gorbachov in a soviet Russia.
Dramatic shows are not really my
kind of entertainment, personally I prefer comedy shows like The Simpsons or
Friends, but like I said, Chernobyl is in another level of content and realization,
even some people call it “a masterpiece”.
After this, maybe I can give another
chance to more dramatic shows, because after seeing the end of Game of Thrones
I felt really disappointed. I think shows shouldn’t last so long, because the
producers end focusing more in sales that in making art. Chernobyl with just
five episodes is totally focused on tell a story and been a good audiovisual piece.
wwow! I absolutly agree about the last that you said. sometimes the series end with a soooo extensive final and becomes boring just because the want to have increased sales.
